In the mid of 2020, as the world grappled with a pandemic, six visionaries—a team of Somali computer scientists, educators, and business strategists—met in a Zoom room with a shared conviction: ``Technology and knowledge could be lifelines in a crumbling world.``
While COVID-19 disrupted lives, they saw an opportunity to rebuild. Businesses were struggling to adapt online. Students were stuck at home, skills frozen in time. So, they launched iM252 Academy—Somalia’s first fully digital learning platform. From Basic computer and digital skills, SEO to e-commerce, they trained thousands to thrive in a remote-first world.
But when the world reopened in 2022, they asked: What’s next?
Answer: Human connection.
The team realized that screens alone couldn’t spark the energy of a hands-on workshop or the trust of face-to-face mentorship. So, they founded Waadi Skills & Consulting—a bridge between digital innovation and real-world impact.
